    Hey everyone!  Brand new user here setting up my first home studio.  I would like to install my VSL Special Edition Strings 1 on my work computer instead of home computer because it is much faster.  However, I will be getting a new work computer at the end of June. 

    Is it possible to transfer my library, license, etc. from one Macbook Pro to another one?  I cannot afford to buy a new faster home laptop right now...of course that's the easiest solution.  😃

    Hi Michael,

    you can install your libraries on all computer you own. But the library only works on the computer with a valid license on the USB-eLicenser pluged in.

    Btw: You can copy / move your files without running the installer (the software like Download Manager, Vienna Instruments, Ensemble... has to be installed). After copying the files add the folder in the Directory Manager (on Windows there is a shortcut to that program in the startmenu).

    The license is stored on the USB eLicenser. Just plug it to the computer you want to use.

    Thanks!  That's what I thought but I keep getting an error message saying that I can't use it b/c I have it on the first computer.  I'm going to give Sweetwater (where I bought it) a call and they said they could talk me through it.  

    I'm sure I'm missing something REALLY stupid, which is the most frustrating part!  I have all this music composed and ready to record and I'm stalled because I can't find my string sounds!

    Simple answer - put the license on a Vienna key and be done with it.

    This is just not working.  I insert the Vienna Key into my 2nd laptop and get this message...

    "The activation code has been used already. An activation code can be used only once to download or upgrade a license.

    Please contact your software vendor to get a valid activation code."

    Then nothing works.  I know I'm missing something simple but cannot figure it out and am getting very frustrated.
