Hello,
I’m using Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 on Mac OSX Mojave and I’m having a lot of trouble just getting the server versions to open. I get a Synsopos error and can’t get past the splash page. When I try opening up just Ensemble Pro software, (not the server version) i can usually get it to open, but it’s buggy and crashes as well.
Any ideas?

Hi drew571,
I am sorry to say that, although VE Pro 5 basically works fine in macOS 10.14, this exact problem can occur with VE Pro 5 Server(!) under certain circumstances - unfortunately, we simply do not know why this happens and I am afraid that our developers will not update VE Pro 5 anymore, as it is in fact legacy software.
Is upgrading to VE Pro 7 an option for you? Do you want to check with a demo license (I can send you one for VE PRO 6, as VE Pro 7 is only on pre-sale)?
Best,
Paul

sure, i guess if that's my only option. can't say i'm too thrilled about investing in a software that might just be broken in a few years though. seems like if they can use the next version of the software without issue then they should be able to tell why the older version doesn't work.

Hi Drew,
Just sent you 1 demo license for VE Pro 6. Let me know if you need more.
Both hardware and OS upgrades and updates are making it quite hard to stay compatible, especially with an "interface" server software like Vienna Ensemble Pro. We're doing our best, but sometimes we simply have to move on.
Best,
Paul

PaulPaul, Is it possible to get a VE Pro 7 license to demo? Never got around to trying 6 as I figured I'd just wait for 7. Also, is there an upgrade program for existing users of the software? Especially the ones where the software doesn't work anymore?
