  • VEP - Receiving audio from Master computer

    Hi everyone,

just a quick question: is it possible to send the main output of logic (on my master computer) to a VEP instance in my slave? I would like to load some plugins that I are not available for my mac and I was wondering if this is a doable workaround.

    Thank you.

  • Basically you want to create an Aux bus for that; you'll use Audio Input.
Master out to VE Pro Audio Input creates a looped path, I don't see how you'll render that.

  • I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but I was able to take guitar from an audio input on my master, using Cantabile as a VST Host (could replace with Studio One, Logic, etc), and send audio to the slave machine, to be processed by Amplitube (Guitar FX) using VEP.  You may need to experiment with inputs and buses, but depending on what you want to do, it could be possible.  For me, it worked great!

  • Thanks for the reply everyone. I managed to do what I needed with VE Input as you suggested.

I basically have my audio track (in Logic on my Master) with VE Input sending the audio to a VEP input track (on the Slave). I routed the VEP input track to the VEP master which is sending back the audio to an INSTRUMENT track with VEP in Logic. I then routed the output of this instrument track to an audio track (still in Logic) to be able to render the audio with the effects I used back in VEP.

A little bit complicated but the job is done! Thank you again!
