    Hi all, I am getting no sound from Kontakt Player within VEP.  This is what I am doing in order:

    Insert Plugin - AU- Native instruments - Kontakt - Mono

    I then load a kontakt instrument with output 1 and midi channel 1

    Checked that same settings are on VEP instance/kontakt channel strip but no sound when I use the mouse to play internal kontakt keyboard.  The output is set to Master bus in VEP.

    Does anyone know what if anything I am doing wrong?

    Not enough information to diagnose just from your post.

    Is this VE Pro standalone or "Server"? Standalone if connected to your audio interface should sound.
    'Server' needs to be connected to a DAW host for instruments to sound. Mouse clicking on the Kontakt keyboard made me wonder about the latter.

     

    If it's a stereo patch and you've instantiated "Kontakt - Mono" all the sound will be is mono on the left side to begin with. IE: 'output 1' is actually Stereo 1 and you have like half of that going on. But that in itself doesn't appear to result in no sound. No sound is not normal and it has to be a problem on your end.  So all you've mentioned is the mouse click.

    Thanks, you were right that I did not have the server connected to my iMac. A new but related problem is I was wondering if when connected to my PC via VEP although I cannot seem to locate my software on the PC should I still be able to make use of its RAM. Thank you for taking the time to help an idiot. All sorted, thanks to all. I had te re-install all on the PC which does not work as good or efficient as the Mac but alls well that ends well. Again, thanks all, Kevin
