Hi,

Does anybody have a piece performed with the new Synchron Steinway piano, with just the close mics or close+medium mics from the Standard library? I would like to hear what's the driest sound, with the least room sound as possible. The official demos only contain the Decca mics, and that is already too reverberant for me.

Paolo.

I agree, the demos are very big-room sounding.

I don't have any recordings, but with just the close and/or mid mic's you can get a nice dry sound, like your head is in in the piano! In fact you can do a lot with all the different mic positions.

It's a beautiful piano.

Hi,

I posted in another thread 2 examples.

Consolation (only close and mid mics) (now correct link)

Consolation (with close, mid and ambient mics)

In both cases I used the full library (and not the standard you were asking for).
For me to create the best sound I definitly need the full library.

I hope this will help.

Hi MMKA,

if I use your links it opens the same file. Could you please check them? Thanks.

Best, Ben
