  • Error message when saving while decoupled.

When I attempt a manual save I get this error message if I have VEP decoupled:

Digital Performer has encountered an error.

OS error reported by File I/O:

File can't be deleted because it is in use (-47)

However, this error doesn't occur with DP's AutoSave feature, so that's good!👍🏽

This doesn't happen with projects not associated with VEP.  When I deactivate VEP’s decouple feature, manual saves occur normally, but of course it takes longer.  This also doesn't occur if I were to move the DP project folder to the desktop, so that led me to believe it might be a permissions issue, so I reset the permissions via a Terminal command.  Has anyone else seen this and know how to fix?

    Thanks.

  • Bump.

  • I have the exact same problem in DP 10.  I can command-s save for about 5 minutes after a "save as" then I start to get this error message, and have to do another "save as."

  • Hi everybody

Same problem here, with same symptoms as strvnsky's.

I tried to couple/decouple all or some of the plugins in VEP, but it doesn't fix the problem.

My question is : is it a problem with DP, or with VEP, or with both ?

  • Hi fypy,

We are unable to reproduce this here, which makes it hard to find the reason for this error message...

Are you using the MAS version of the plug-in?

    Best, Marnix
