  • Can't Drag Instruments around the stage in MIR via VEP 7

    Hello,

I just upgraded to VEP 7 and have noticed that when using MIR, the instruments will freeze on the stage when a 3rd party instrument is added. In this case it's Ivory 2.5. All Vienna Instruments can be dragged to different areas on the stage with no problem, even when Ivory is added, dragging icons works, but only for a short amount of time. I have not trouble shot other 3rd party instruments, but the freeze happens every time when Ivory is added. I just wanted to shed light on this issue. Will this be fixable in a future update.

    Thank you,

  • I had the same problem. A solution is to click the maximize button in the MIR PRO screen. After that it just works again. Do not confuse this with the OS maximize button :-).

  • Thanks, iPiano. I will give this a try!

Incredible! Thanks for the solution, but this seems to be a bug to me. The draggability ceased after I added a plugin instrument to the VE Pro mixer, and even after quitting and relaunching VE Pro, the issue was still there. Your maximise solution is a good workaround - thanks!

  • Hi everybody,

Thanks for reporting! Sounds like some 3rd party plug-ins require a refresh there. I will inform our development team about this, but I believe that this fix won't make it into this version of MIR Pro...

"We are aware of the problem you mentioned. That's caused by the fact that MIR Pro uses Open GL and this standard is no longer updated (since 2017). Since our developers are already working on the next evolution of MIR Pro, the workaround [app maximise button] is the only solution for now."
