  • A way to reset MIR PRO server?

Is there a way to reset the MIR pro server? When I’m working on a session in Reaper (using MIR Pro) and Reaper crashes, the MIR Pro server remains open. When I then restart a session in reaper the plug-ins cannot contact the Mia pro server. I find the only thing I can do is restart my whole system. Is there a way in windows 10 to avoid having to restart my whole system?

  • Please click on the MIR Icon in the System Tray to quit MIR Pro plug-in server manually.

  • Typically that is gone once Reaper crashes but perhaps I can find it in the task manager if that is not working.

Thank you however, and I will let you know next time this happens!

Yes - when this happens the icon in the taskbar is usually gone - but ending MIR Pro in the task manager fixed the problem.

  • I'm having the same problem with DP.  When DP crashes, MirPro is left in broken state.  Trying to open DP again causes MirPro to display message that its being used by a different process (presuming the DP session that has since crashed and no longer exists).

I can find MirPro in the activity manager and kill the process....but if I then launch DP again...and try to connect to MirPro, the MirPro icon bounces in the dock, but a connection never happens and eventually the application quits...according to the dock icon, but looking at activity manager there is a new MirPro process hanging there that is not responding.

In short I am unable to use MirPro again without rebooting the computer, after DP crashes when MirPro was being used in it.

Please let us know if there is some work around to reset the MirPro server without having to reboot, having to reboot the computer every time the DAW crashes is not really very acceptable.

I'm totally fine with any work around including killing certain processes or editing files even..whatever it takes to avoid having to reboot after DP crashes..
