  • Automation Mapping VEPro 7

    Hi there,

I use VEPro on a Server and I'm trying to figure out how to use Automation Mapping. I'm trying to Automate Freq, Gain and Q on EQ Plugins on Audio Channels in VEPro.

I opened the Automation Mapping Window, I clicked the L button, clicked on the parameters of one the EQ plugins and now Freq, Q and Gain of that specific plugin appear in number 1, 2, and 3 of the list.

What's the next step after that? How do I link those parameters to the knobs on my MIDI controller?

Let's say there is way to assign those parameters to MIDI CC 20, 21 and 22 for that specific plugin: can I link the same CC to another plugin on a different channel, so that the CC will work only for the selected track, or do I have to assign those parameters on the different track to CC 23, 24 and 24 for example?

Thanks in advance for your help!

  • If you're looking at the MIDI tab in Automation Map, all you have to do is make sure the [Port and] Channel from the DAW are assigned and match and your controller is one of the inputs to the MIDI track.
This assignment is per Port and Channel (or if you aren't using multiport via VST3) simply the channel.

If what you want to do is assign the CC to more than one parameter in one go, no, you'll have to do it individually, I don't see how possibly there would be a magical link function, if I'm reading that right. You can manually assign the CC again and again to different parameters in the same channel.
