  • Synchronized Special Edition

Hi Andi, I was wondering if the VI HP file, from Finale 25 , works with Synchronized Editions as well. Thanks Bogdan

  • Synchron patch structure is usually a bit different from VI matrices, then I fear the answer is no. But Iā€™m also curious...

  • Hello Bogdan and fatis12_24918!

The presets in the SYNCHRON-ized version are structured a bit differently than the matrices in the Vienna Instruments version. So the Special Edition Human Playback Preferences for Finale will not work with the SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition. A new dedicated set of Human Playback Preferences for the SYNCHRON-ized Special Editions will be made though. Until then, you can use the Keyswitch dump file that's available under MyVSL/Notation Related.

    Best regards,
    Andi

  • Great news,

    Thank you Andi !

  • Hello Andy,

Yesterday I purchased Synchron SE vol. 1. I already own Vienna SE vol.1, so I upgraded the last one. I use Vienna libraries en combination with Finale 2014.

After activating the product on the E-lisencer and installing the last version of download manager, Vienna Synchron Player, Vienna Synchron Pianos and SPECIAL EDITION Volume 1 ā€“ Library Download, but its not working at all.

1- I'm not able to open Vienna Synchon Player or Vienna Synchron Pianos, sinces they dont exist on my computer.

2- when I open Vienna Instruments, Synchron Library doesn't appear.

3- when I open Finale 2014 Synchron library doesn't appear either.

Can you please tell me the steps I have to follow?

    Thanks!

    Guillem Carrillo

  • Hello Guillem!

I moved your post to a different thread, because I couldn't see a relation to the thread you have originally posted in.

SYNCHRON-ized Special Editions can only be opened in Synchron Player. The Concert D light can only be opened in Synchron Pianos. Synchron Player and Synchron Pianos are different players than the Vienna Instruments player. Please download and install them. Then they should be available in your instrument-host (like Vienna Ensemble or Finale).

I imagine this is a big job. Can you give any indication for when we should look out for it? Also can you say something about Dorico?

  • Hello Marcabru!

I plan to make the SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition Human Playback Preferences for Finale this summer. At the moment I can't say anything about when settings for Dorico will be made. We are waiting for a few updates in the Dorico Expression Maps system.

    Best regards,
    Andi
