  • Synchron Player and MIRx?

I just switched to Synchronized SE and I like the new interface much better than VI.

However I did not find a way to use the MIRx Roompacks in Synchron Player as it was possible in VI.

    Did I miss something?

    Regards Harald

  • Synchron Player does not support MIRx.

  • So, the decission is to use Synchron Player OR VI + MIRx :(

The Synchron Player libraries are recorded specifically in the VSL-owned Synchron stage. That's the whole purpose of the Synchron Player, although I suppose at some point in the future it's conceivable that the player design could be adapted for use with other venues.

So yes, the decision is Synchron Player OR VI (Pro) with MIRx.

Well, Synchron player has an embedded MIRx for the Synchron stage venue only, enabling the Synchron-ized libraries edition, like your Synchron SE.

(And so as DaddyO said, in the future it should be pretty easy for VSL to add more venues to the Synchron Player engine, but it sounds a bit out of scope for the project, at least today).

Due to the fact the embedded convolution of Synchron stage can be disabled by the user, the 3rd option is Synchron(-ized) player + MIR Pro.

Of course processing pristine Synchron libraries (like Strings, percussion and pianos) with MIR Pro is less effective because all the samples, including close mics, are pretty wet compared to VI libraries silent stage dry samples.
