    Please help me, I have indeed enoough of strange misterious problems with the VEP7. It was never happening to me before with the version 6.

    Logic X - DAW,, VEP on PC.

    WHy sometimes while working- even when I create a new project completely - I open Vienna Ensemble Pro and IT CANNOT SEE ANY INSTANCES ALTHOUGH EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED. It dissapeares! How to force it to work? What is more strange it happens also when I use my templates. all instruments play from the VEP but when I want to open a new one I cannot see the server in the Plugin . It is urgent

    thank you, please help me - this VEP makes a lot of good things BUT CAUSES SO MANY HEADAKE I have a lot of technical problems with it and it is just ENOUGH..

    I am one step forward - It seems I had 2 computers (temproary I was connecting another one with the VEP) - it had a different IP but the SAME COMPUTER NAME!

    By the way - does it match? What if we mix IPs (I do not) is there a way to guess which should it be in the VEP? Or does the VEP plugin expect server names as well?

     

    SORRY IT IS SO DESPERATE! I CHAGED EVERYTHING AND ALL NAMES ARE GOOD. SERVER DISSAPPEARS!

    Hi Adia,

    You don't tell us much about your setup.

    What are you network settings? You should use static IP addresse, because VE pro connects based on

    • IP address
    • instance / preserved name.

    If one of those change, you will not connect and need to connect manually.

    If you don't see your server on Windows, check that the corresponding ports are open (see VE PRO 7 manual on page 6), if you need your firewall to be active.
