  • elicenser error for VEP 7 Keyless Demo

Getting this error when launching VEP Keyless Demo

Application 'Vienna Ensemble PRO 7' has caused the following error:

eLicenser(s) contain(s) no valid license for this application.

    Options:
     - For troubleshooting information click <Help>.
     - Click <Licenses> to view available licenses.
     - Connect a valid eLicenser and click <Retry>.
     - Click <Cancel> to abort.

    Help Please.

  • It shouldn't be looking for elicenser for a key, being keyless.
I would write to vsl.support, something is wrong.

  • Hi,

Weird, that shouldn't be the case. an you tell me which OS you are working on and which installer you have used?
Screenshots will also help a lot, you can send them to support@vsl.co.at, with a short reference to this thread.

    Best,

    Paul

  • Hi Paul. Thanks. I have emailed you. Cheers.

  • Just figured out. The error is thrown only when the elicenser USB is plugged in. Cheers

  • I uninstalled VEP -> removed my elicenser dongle -> Restarted my machine -> Installed VEP -> Restarted my machine and launced VEP. It's launching now. I also plugged my elicenser back in and tried. It shows the error message that no valid license found, but VEP launches after that. So I guess all it required was a restart after installation.

  • The latest release of VEP should take care of this.

    Thanks.
