  • Keyswitch Velocity always reset

Hi, In my presets, I like to use Keyswitches for the X-axis, and Keyswitch Velocity for the Y-axis. This way, a single Midi message (Note On) can select a cell in the matrix. However, I see that playing a note without adding the cell selection message always resets selection to the first row of the matrix. Manually select a cell in the third row, and playing a note of the score will reset selection to the first row. Isn't this an unexpected behavior? Shouldn't the music note be ignored for cell selection, being only the Keyswitch Velocity the one to be considered? Paolo

No? Yet, I can see it in the list of assignable controls:

This is the velocity value contained in the Note On message received as a Keyswitch.

  • HI PaoloT,

Please send such a quick example to support@vsl.co.at, with step by step instructions on how to reproduce your findings. As always, include used OS and software information.

    Thanks,

ah, thats a new one? Sorry. ðŸ˜³

It it's not- edit: wasn't, at least -  part of the MIDI protocol, but, yep there it is! It gloms velocity switching onto key, my bad.

The KS are latched so it shouldn't return to the first KS unless you told it to.
