    Great news for everybody with a soft spot for incredible pianos!

    The Synchron Blüthner 1895 Aliquot Grand Piano is a very useful addition to our high-class Synchron Pianos.

    It is now available separately and of course, if you already have our Synchron Yamaha CFX and Synchron Concert D-274, you should go for the SYNCHRON PIANOS BUNDLE PRICE and benefit from additional discounts (up to 30 %!!) to the introductory price!

    And if you "only" have one of those pianos => It's not a hard decision to upgrade with those bundle benefits!

  • Presumably they reduce the Pianobundle more than the Synchron Package, since the Pianobundle is in itself something new which  get insofar perhaps itsa own introductory reduction.

    But if you already own the Synchron-Package, I assume and hope that finaly it wont make any difference if you buy the Blüther as Part of the Pianobunlde or as part of the SAynchron package.

    Since you will have registered all Synchron products than in any way so if the Synchron-Package-reduction will be (as it normaly should be) more than thos of a smaller Sub-Bundle you should never the less be eligable for tha Synchron-Package-Reduictions since you simply have registered all its parts. Everything else would really make no sense at all and would be for them self a mess to administrate.

    Hoiwever I consent, that it looks pretty strange, that the Super-Package-Reductions are less compared to those of the Pianobundle.

    Stage B was simply more appropriate for the Blüthner.

    It is a smaller grand piano than the other 2 flagship pianos and the acoustics of Stage B are ideal.

  • Since I already own the Yamaha I was offered by VSL the opportunity to buy the Bluthner at the super-low price of 116 euros.

    I'm not interested in buying the whole bundle, I would love to just purchase the Bluthner at 116 euros. But if I put the bundle into the basket, I get a grand total of 288 euros (the Blüthner itself will be priced 165 euros instead of 116)

    What am I missing?

  • The sound of Blüthner is very good. liked it.

    I tried using it, but when using it other than "VIENNA ENSEMBLE PRO", loud click noise was output at regular intervals. Noise is not output except at Blüthner. Is this a problem with Synchron Pianos (1.1.1378)?

    Also, when I played the same song data, I felt that the output level was very low compared to Yamaha CFX. Is this a matter of personal preference?

  • I played it all day today and I like it. The mid/upper register is really clear and beautiful. That extra string for resonance makes a difference. I think the bass is really where the vintage sound of the piano is most present. It seems a little weak because I'm used to the massive sound of the VSL CFX and Steinway, but overall I'm very happy with the Bluthner. It's a beautiful period piano and I'm glad they chose the smaller studio to record it in. The smaller studio and piano provides a nice contrast to the bigger CFX/D concert grands. It's nice to sit down and have a variety of beautiful VSL pianos to choose from.

    Thanks to the VSL team for making this available and for offering such a nice discount for those who own the other models. That's good marketing and it helps the consumer to feel even better about the experience. My 1TB SSD is almost full now with VSL pianos. I don't know what I'll do if they release another model.

    Really happy to hear that you like our choice of piano and room, and it's great to see that our new Piano Bundle is received so well! Sooner or later, you will need a new SSD drive (good thing that those are really affordable right now!)

  • Paul, yesterday my piano teacher listened to Guy Bacos videos demonstrating the Bluethner and she loved the resonances, so I bought it!!!. Is it possible to modify scale tunning in synchron pianos?, for example, Kirnberger or Werckmeister for Bach works.

    Thanks for sharing the story! It is a remarkable piano indeed!

    No automatic scales in there yet, but you could go in and edit the tuning in the EDIT window. 

    Hope we can implement a more comfortable solution in the future (not a priority right now)...

    Hi,

    There is an additional clarity in the lower resonance (to my ears), but it lacks the deep, rumbling, resonant power of the larger modern concert CFX/D models. I think Mozart and Bach would sound great on it. 

    The Bluthner is very smooth and easy on the ears. I even noticed less brain/ear fatigue after playing for an extended period yesterday.

    Thank you for your answer. Yes, there has been a trade-off, during the first half of the 20th century, between clarity and power in the lower range. I'm happy this translates well in this sample library. 19th-century literature should play better, with clearer inner polyphony and better sounding of left-hand chords (just think to Beethoven, Liszt and Brahms massive chords).   • So here I was agonizing over which piano to buy, and then this bundle comes out.  Obvious choice, there.  The Bluthner sounds spot-on for that "Chopin-esque" feel.  Many thanks!

    I've tried an adaptaton of Scriabin's Etude in C# minor on this piano, that could have been the one on which the piece has been created:

    Scriabin Etude C# minor (Blüthner)

    This is the Standard edition. I might need some other close mics. And some more extreme dynamic change, since the piano is very much responsive to touch.
