VSL and Finale

Hello,

a composer asked me if he can use VSL instruments (Special Edition) directly with Finale. I don't use Finale and I think it's better to work on a sequencer, but is it possible to program the different articulations so they play directly from Finale?

Hi Matteo,

go to the MyVSL -> MyDownloads and set the filter to "Notation related".
There are several downloads for playback in Finale and Sibelius.

There is nothing for Synchron. Are there any plans to deliver Finale related downloads for the latest libraries? It could be encuraging to upgade eg. SE to Synchron SE.

We are planning to create new Finale Human Playback Preferences for the SYNCHRON-ized Special Editions. Until these settings are available, you can use the keyswitch dump file. All our libraries can be used with Finale with help of this file.

Yes, it's possible to Smart Orchestra with Finale. Anyway, please note that Smart Orchestra is mainly made for getting quick results by playing on the keyoard. It features orchestral sections plus some solo players. For bringing your orchestral scores to life, our other libraries will suit better.

Thanks Andi - one thing worth to mention is: in Finale 26 path is changed to: C:\ProgramData\MakeMusic\Finale 26\Libraries\
