    Hi, these may seem like rudimentary questions, but looking for help just getting this back up and running, Hadn't used the programs for a year.  Re downloaded everything hoping it would put me up to date.  

    My understand is the app I need is a Vienna Enemble Service to use it as a plug in with Logic.  When I try to open it, it just stays on the screen attached.  Vienna Ensemble opens, but with out a Service Interface.

    Mac OS 10.14.5 

    Vienna Instruments & Vienna Ensemble Software 6.0 (macOS) build 118067

    are they just not compatible?

    Hi Paul, 

    VE works fine on Mojave, and it is already open and is waiting for you to connect. 

    To do so, please insert "Vienna Ensemble" in your sequencer and the connection will be made automatically. If you have not started Vienna Ensemble Service before, it would be started automatically upon inserting Vienna Ensemble.

       Thank you so much for the reply! I'm afriad I'm really showing my lack of experience here.  Not sure how to input "VE" into my sequencer.  

    In Logic X I tried :

    Window - Open Midi Environtment - new - sequencer input - 

    tried various things from here.  when trying to import an environment, "VE" is grey out and un able to load

     

    al also tried clicking on the MIDI instrument drop down, selected utilility and tried "load" but "VE" was grey out.

     

    Doesn't matter that "VE" is on an external hardrive does it?

    Hi Paul,

    Seems like BOTH Vienna Ensemble and Vienna Instruments were not validated.

    First, I'd suggest to UNINSTALL the software with the included UNINSTALLER. Restart the computer and then install the latest version again.

    If that didn't do the trick, go to Logic's Preferences => Plug-in Manager... can you find it there? => Validate the plug-ins manually.

    Something weird happened when I was installing the the library sounds again.  I got this error message (see attachement) that said I couldn't install them.  But them I looked in the folder, and the library files were there.  I had deleted the whole folder before. 😶
