    Hi,

    I just got the 3 Pianos (CFX, Steinway, and Blüthner) - full versions, and I'm just testing them out now in my DAW (Studio One) - the Vienna Synchron Pianos instrument work fine, but I can't get any sound on Vienna Synchron Pianos Surround. Hopefully I have registered everything fine with ViennaKey, all 3 pianos are listed, and, for example, when I choose the Player perspective in the surround instrument, it will load 1.09GB/95216 samples, but can anyone help me actually getting sound on? 

    The other instrument, Vienna Synchron Pianos play fine with sound, so not sure what I'm doing wrong. I think I have installed everything correct, - I didn't choose the default locations for install, but named the directories Steinway Library, Bluthner Library and Yamaha Library on a SSD drive, but, anyway, the program seems to find the samples perfectly fine, when everything is loaded.

    In Win10 all 3 dir's are 606 GB in total, so I think everything is installed? 

    I'm brand new to VSL, so thought I'd ask for help here, I'm probably facing a "noob" problem - thank you.

    606 GB sounds correct. 

    I don't have Studio One here with me now, but did you make sure that you have inserted Synchron Pianos as a surround plug-in? Sequencers are a bit different when it comes to handling surround plug-ins.

    Thanks! I have probably not inserted as a surround plugin.. I did a quick search on google, but couldn't find a solution so far. I also looked at the presonus boards. If you can point me to further instructions at a later point, I'd appreciate any help.

    Hi Paul, First on here, thank you for ur help in emails. My friend and I also want to know how to get multi-channel surround sound playback, like video demo of Stefan. I known five Adam S3H monitors with subwoofer have been built. Is there any ready made solution for DAW software and sound interface? It's attractive upgrade for us. Thanks, Robin

    Hello robinlb1900 and idjacobs,

    Studio One doesn't support Surround at the moment - but there are workarounds inside the DAW which allow Surround Routing (mono/stereo track bussing).
    Unfortunately I don't know how to set this up as easy as possible in Studio One so I recommend to get in touch with Presonus itself in this case to get the best solution for you.

    Please make sure you insert the Surround-VST version of Synchron Pianos in Studio One before you start the routing process.
    Since Surround Routing is handled differently from DAW to DAW, there are no ready made solutions here - sorry to say.

    Hello Johannes, Thank you so much for your reply. I don't use Studio one but usually use Cubase8 for my Synchron Piano. My question is whether multi channels surround can be implemented in the corresponding DAW and hardware? Such as Cubase and multichannel sound interface. Because synchron piano seems like provide the function of 6.1 output. I guess I can build a surround speaker system to get better in future.

    Hi robinlb1900, 

    Cubase Pro will definitely work with a surround setup. Make sure you have your audio setup assigned correctly and insert the surround option of our player software.

    Thanks Paul! II'm beginning to understand how to setup a 5.1 surround system. Cubase sets 5.1 output and assigns correct mics of Synchron piano player to each channel. Connecting multichannel interface (e.g. RME fireface UC?) and 5.1 speakers. Because I think Synchron piano is a real surround recorded by separated mics in different position, and not like other fake or simulated one. Through 5.1 audio system, maybe get more realistic and higher separation voice than one pair of monitors only. Is my understanding correct? Best regards, Robin

    Your understanding is correct, and you will get even more options with the additional mics contained in the Full Libraries of our Synchron Series products.
