  • BIG BANG Orchestra as classic VSL library

    Hi,

I really loved the sample songs and I downloaded the files immediately - quicker than reading the readme.

Then comes the disappointement: SYNCHRON Player only.

My whole workflow is centered around the classic VSL library workflow and MIR. I am oldfashioned and I would really love to keep my "sonic arsenal" to MIR, VIPro and VIPlayer, besides the financial invest. Took me some dozen years to learn it.

Is this another sign that we don't have to expect any new innovations in the old VSL world? I really would love to see improvements on the VIPlayer Pro - or at least an Inspiration Preset II - or an BIG BANG for the Dinosaur party of the VSL world.

Too old for Rock n Roll. Too young for 9th symphonies. Wagner Lover, IRCAM Alumni. Double Bass player starting in low Es. I am where noise is music.
  • Hi,

sorry to hear that you are disappointed, but this is the only way Big Bang Orchestra works.
The entiry Orchestra was recorded at the same time in the Synchron Stage.
For this reason the samples are wet / with reverb included.
Vienna Instruments libraries are dry recorded and the player has no support for multiple mic positions.

But the Synchron Player is free and easy to use! And it provides a lot of functions to tweak the sound.
My advice: Just try it and I think you will love it also.

    Best, Ben
