    Hi!

How to reset a Round Robin in Sy percussion? Each time I press play I hear a different variant...

  • Patience is the key.

Depending on the instrument, it will reset after a few seconds.

how can I convey this phrase to my customers, for whom deadlines are important?))

but seriously, if a program is written in such a way that the user has to wait for it, it is wrong programming. This program should wait for the user, not he her. The computer is designed to unload a user and help him, and not to keep him waiting, don't you? There is RR reset button for such cases in any sampling engine: user can record an event of pressing this key to any place of midi part and it keep him from waiting.

  • Hi,

As often with the 2 of us: Let's agree to disagree.

  • Let's look at it this way. It's not even a matter of patience and a few seconds.
Suppose we have an instrument that has 6RR. and we have the pieсe with two phrases played by this instrument: the first phrase contains 4 notes, and the second - 2 notes. For example, between them a big break, a minute.
Graphically it looks like this: 1234 <1min> 56
Let's say we edit the final piece of music and several times in a row we start listening right before the notes 56 (and not listen to first notes). If it is not possible to record RR reset event immediately before the notes 56, and an automatic reset of the RR depends only on the start/stop of transport with the edit we'll hear 1234 <1min> 12, but mixdown is 1234 <1min> 56. In other words, the user is not able to get on the mixdown what he heard when editing - this is an uncontrollable situation...

  • Well, in the meantime see if your DAW has a reset on stop preference you can select.
I agree with the use value of such btw.
