  • Downloading standard version when you bought full version of a library

Hello. This may seem like a bit of a silly question, but I'm curious whether there is any way to download just the standard version of a library when you have the license for a full version. For example, I own the full tenor trombone library which is 8.4 GB installed on my system while the standard version, which has everything I need 95% of the time, is just 1.0 GB. Perhaps this is possible. If not, I know it's too early for Christmas, but it would nice to be able to have the option to use the much smaller library. I could use the SE versions, but they are not sampled as thoroughly. Thank you.

  • Hi dsblais,

With our Single Instruments, you always have access to the downloads you have the license for.

If you have the Special Editions, I'd stick to those for on_the_road.

  • Thank you, Paul.

  • As far as I know when you buy a Vienna-Instruments-Library, ALL the Sample will be downloaded and it just depends on your serial code which samples you can use. When you upgrade a Library to the full version you don't need to download anything but just type in your new code - et voilĂ !

So that meens VI-Libraries will always be downloaded complete.

  • Hi Havergal,

That is half-true: It is indeed the case for the bigger VI Series collections, but not for our Single Instruments and Synchron Series prodicts (aiming at smaller downloads and less disk space consumption).
