    Hi everyone, For Dimension Strings and Dimension Brass there was an update for ViPro when the synchronized version came out. Is this planned also for the woodwinds? I really hope so!! :-) I spent a lot on these wonderful libraries and it would be a pity if the ViPro version would be left behind. I know that leaving out all the impulses in the Synchron Player one would obtain the same dry sound, but, let's face it, it's not the same ;-) Thanks in advance!

    I think there should be an Upgrade Option for all VI Libraries too.

    Are there any Plans to optimize ViPro further with Synchron Player Features like always matching Release Samples?

    Hello, 

    Thanks for your postings!

    As I'm sure you know, we are providing maintenance updates for Vienna Instruments and Vienna Instruments Pro and, where it makes sense, new products. 

    Our focus will be on improving the Synchron Player Software in the foreseeable future, and the only feature I can see on the horizon for VI / Pro is a hdPi enhancement (but we have no ETA there). 

    Other features for VI / Pro are not planned at this point.

    With SYNCHRON-ized Woodwinds, we also didn't release a VI version, simply because it would lead to confusion, as all instruments are available both as single instruments AND in various VI Woodwinds collections.

    Thanks for your response to the OP. This gives us the clearest snapshot yet of VSL's current thinking and plans. and it will help me as I make purchasing decisions going forward.

    An hdPi enhancement would be a very welcome addition to VI Pro.

    Personally I don’t think VIpro needs to change much functionally it’s already best in class! Retina/hidpi support would be welcome and perhaps slight gui improvements in terms of being able to resize, for example. But this player is already better then everything else out there! By a long shot. Small tweaks only to support OS updates

    It is a little hard to accept that there is an enhanced (more Velocity Layers!), optimized, re-mastered and re-edited version of the same samples my VI Library is based on and not beeing able to upgrade without changing the player.

    On the other hand I was not missing anything before the synchron series so I guess it is not much of a deal. The VI Libraries were and stay great!

    Agreed! Why are VSL not addressing the Mac version of VI/VI Pro with respect to HiDPI support for Apple Retina displays? Very disappointing that this has not been resolved in years.
