  • Intel i3 Concert D-274

I just got a new laptop, with Intel Core i3-10110U up to 4.1 GHz (10th Generation), Windows 10, 8gb ram, and 256gb ssd.

Here's my question. The file size of the Concert D-274 (full version) exceeds my storage limit, so can I instead download it straight onto my external ssd (Samsung T5, 500gb, USB 3.1, 540 mb/s), and expect it to run good enough for recording, or even regular playing?

Also, if the i3 processor is not adequate, what can I do to get around that problem?

  • Hi,

Yes, you can download it directly to your external drive.

If you limit the number of microphones activated, disable sympathetic resonance as well as additional reverb you should be able to play/record the piano live. After the recording, set your audio interface's buffer size to maximum and you should be able to use more microphones and the reverb, etc.

    Best, Ben
