Hi guys,
I’m a bit desperate, and i really need your help.
I'm experiencing random sound dropouts (every 30sec-40sec) with all my 6 slave machines.
The dropouts “cut” the network flow for 0.2-0.5 seconds.
-
My main CPU is a I7 7820X with 128g RAM - Cubase PRO 10.0.50
-
My 5 Slaves machine are I7 with Win 10 pro, VEP7 and new (2017-2019 build machine). One is on Win7. 64 RAM on slave. They work fine.
-
All are link into a Switch Netgear GS608 V4 link to a ADSL modem.
-
My RJ45 Cables are Cat7 and very good quality (length 1m)
-
Of course Last Version of VEP7 (7.0.904) and Kontakt 6 and more VST.
I have no dropouts with VEP7 on my MAIN cpu, when i’m using my cubase pro 10 & VEP7 in localhost

I’m starting a new topic because i spent my all week to try to figure it out.
So here the summary of all my try :
-
I’ve tried different buffer size on my RME UCX sound card. No change.
(I still have the feeling that in 2048 and 4 Buffer size, the dropouts less appear but still there. But i just CAN’T work in 2048… too much latency and cubase is not stable with that settings).
-
I have both dropouts on my Win7 pro AND my Win 10 pro slave cpu.
-
In Cubase PRO 10, i’ve deactivated the ASIO guard manually (for the VST3 VEP7 plugin & overall setting. No Change.
-
In VEP7, I’ve tried different setting with Thread count per instance. No change.
-
Even in Kontakt, i change the multiprocessor settings and the Ram preload settings, i tried everything. No Change.
-
I’ve thought that it came from Kontakt 6 but with Omnisphere 2.0 it’s the same trouble, and with Vienna instrument too, same dropouts.
-
So i’ve reinstall all the network card driver. No change.
-
I’m in DHCP mode. I tried fixed IP. No change.
-
I’ve tried to change my samples folder on very fast SSD disc. No change.
