  • Constrain Delay Compensation feature request

Please can you implement an automatable function that willl disable any plugins with latency above a certain threshold. This would work really well with the "constrain delay compensation" in cubase, allowing parts to re-recorded at later stages of a mix when lots of high latency plugins have been introduced.

    Thanks,

    Stuart

  • Another name for this feature might be "low latency mode" (which would be more familiar to logic users). I cant believe I'm the only one who would find this useful.

  • Would you want to constrain to a specific max latency, or simply disabling any plugin that introduces latency? IIRC, Logic just turns off any latency plugin?

  • Cubase just disables any insert plugin on the record-enabled output chain with a latency > x where x is configurable. It would be incredibly useful to be able to do the same in VEP, and enable/disable it with an automation parameter. For some background I am using single instances of VEP to create rich stacked instruments with potentially complex bus/FX routing using some high latency plugins. It becomes difficult to track midi without having to manually rearrange things to reduce the latency. Thanks, Stuart

  • Is this a feature that would be feasible to add in the short term?

    Thanks,

    Stuart

    Hi,

There seems to be excessive interest... let's see how we can fit it in ðŸ˜Š
I'm afraid we can't promise any ETAs.

  • Hi, I was wondering if there has been any progress on this?
