  • WOW!! Big Bang Orchestra: Andromeda

    Hello everybody!

Reaching for the stars with the next step! Actually, a whole galaxy with Big Bang Orchestra: Andromeda 😊

We decided to record all basic articulations of the FREE Big Bang Orchestra once again, to provide more flexibility in the mixing sections.

And of course there are MANY new articulations available with this expansion, all in all 11 GB of samples (compared to the 1.5 GB in the original free Big Bang Orchestra).

Check out the audio and video demos on our website and get ready for more!

    Best,
    Paul

  • Great news! But I, like many composers, cannot buy your products because they do not support ILOK. I have been wanting to buy for several years, but what stops me is that my mac pro does not have enough USB ports.

  • Hi,

    Thanks for the feedback!

You are not the only one who is surprised by the lack of USB connections in modern computers.

Time to get a reliable USB hub (best: powered), we are using those all the time.

  • Just watched the videos. Amazing sound.!

I do think that making us wait until Tuesday is torturous.

  • Paul, if we buy Andromeda, can we remove the original Big Bang library, or are they still giving different sounds?

If we can remove it, is it simply a matter of deleting it from disk?

    Paolo

  • Hi Paolo,

as these are complete new recordings I'd say keep the previous version. Little things hvae been adapted.
Just one example: we wanted shorter shorts this time. So if you need them for any reason exactly as they have been perfomed in the Free version, just use that version.

Sometimes it's good to have more choices, even if the differences are subtle.

    best,
    Herb

  • Thank you, Herb, for this advice!

  • Hello to all,

yes keep free Big Bang Orchestra. The new short notes from Andromeda are very short, so you can switch between a slighty longer release on th BBO free.

I also encountered, that Andromeda needs some more love in optimization. Even with higher Buffer my HDD high speed rpm can not run sometimes the sound smoothly.

Also I figured out, wehen you save Andromeda Preset as User, the attachment "_beta" is automatically generated. Sad that you do not tell, it is Beta, when your software does...

Also I encountered slightly cut help text (the white text on the bottom right) will be cut of, when you scale the GUI up.

But in genrell a great sounding product. A huge thank you to you all who worked so hard for.

  • Hi Devi,

Great to hear that you enjoy BBO Andromeda.

We recommend to use SSDs for all Synchron instruments. You will have a bad experience with HDDs and multiple mics, because HDDs are simply not fast enough, especially random access times.

Regarding the _beta label: this is a small bug we already discovered and our devs will fix this soon. It does not mean that the instrument is in beta.

Regarding the cut help text, could you please attach a screenshot showing it?

    Best, Ben

    Of course.

  • Hey to you,

since I saw that Andromeda is "Essential" and BBO free... It seems there might come and "Extended" BBO with more Articulations and maybe drums or so?
