  • Freezing VE Pro output in DAW

I'm a pretty new user of VE Pro, so I hope this will have a simple answer.

I'm routing audio tracks from Reaper to VE Pro using an VE's Audio Input plug-in. In VE Pro, I'm using MIR to put the audio on a soundstage with other instruments. So far so good.

In order to hear the processed audio, I'm inserting a Send from the VE Pro instance (plug-in on a Reaper track) to a separate audio track in Reaper. Sounds great.

But how do I get a VE Pro / MIR Pro processed audio track into Reaper for further mixing, etc.? Trying to Freeze or Render the track that plays the processed audio either gives me silence or just does nothing. I can record the audio into Reaper in real time, but that is very slow and it's hard to believe there's not a better way.

Has anyone figured this out? I'm sure that any solution on another DAW would apply to Reaper as well.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Does anybody have any thoughts on this, i.e. how to capture in the DAW the audio processed by VE Pro when the sending track is an audio track?

I found that if you put the track with the VE Pro instance and the return track in a folder, freezing the folder will give you an audio track. But it is horribly distorted, even though the levels are way below clipping.

Any help wouild be appreciated. If I'm in the wrong forum, please direct me to the right place to ask the question.
