  • New Workflow possibilities with latest Mac Pro

Just wanted to see what people's ideas for new workflows with VePro and the latest Mac Pro.

The single core CPU speed hasn't changed drastically (about 50% increase over Trash Can MacPro, but 15% less than current iMac). However the massive bump in RAM could be a huge advantage to orchestral template building.

There were a lot of VePro tinkerers suggesting that if you increase disk read speeds with SSD RAID setups, you could decrease the RAM footprint. While that seems to be true, it increased CPU load.

Now that the limit of RAM is 1.5 Terabytes (and lower amounts of 512GB or 768GB with a few thousand dollars), what about the opposite? Using Higher Ram setting in Kontakt to save cycles with the CPU? Could that make for smoother performance or higher number of instruments?

Any other possibilities that are interesting to think about?
