  • Volume (CC7) automatically set to 32

    Hi,

I'm trying to use the Synchronized SE Vol.1/Plus with Logic 10.4.8, and I'm seeing something that I had not noticed with the Smart Orchestra.

    - The Channel Volume (CC7) is automatically set to 32 in the plugin.

    - CC7 events are automatically inserted in my regions while recording.

    - Even if I set the CC7 to 100 in all my Logic regions, the plugin sometimes received a value of 32. There is nothing of this type that I can see in my sequence.

    - If I stop Logic when the plugin has received the CC7=32, the plugin volume returns to 100 for a moment, and then jumps back to 32.

    - I'm using my custom articulation set to select articulations. It seems to work fine. No CC7 message is transmitted from it (only keyswitches in the default ranges). The only change I did to the VSL factory presets is replacing CC2 with CC1 to control Velocity XFade.

    - This seems to happen randomly. It may happen at the beginning of a note, or in the middle.

I have never seen something like this. It is as if Logic and the plugin where exchanging this CC7 without any explicit event in the sequence.

  • Today it is not happening. Maybe it is something that was transmitted by my master keyboard while recording.

  • I have to correct myself. The ghost CC7 was not always inserted while recording. Also, it was randomly sent to various tracks, even if not selected. I'll see if it happens again. Maybe (hopefully) it was just a casual event. Paolo

  • I'm sure it is something sent from my master keyboard, because the CC7 is sent when turning it on. Probably some false contact.

I wonder how it can enter tracks that are not in record. Maybe this is a consequence of the "retrospective record" feature.
