  • Logic Multi-outputs

    Hello,

I have a few questions about how the MIDI ports have been expanded in the last couple versions.

I noticed in VEP 6 there is an option for "Multi-Output (25xStereo)" in the Logic Plugin. I have updated to VEP 7 now and that's still the highest output option - in both standard AU and AU3.

When I read that the midi-ports had recently been expanded to 48 I was hoping to see that number as a Multi-Output option in Logic. Will this per-instance multi-output be expanded at some point? (Maybe I don't understand how the midi ports have changed in VEP 7)

Also, will Logic support 48 audio inputs (or even 24) from VEP so that I can still bounce all tracks simultaneously? (I've read that it only supports 16 right now.)

I hope all that is clear. Thank you.

  • I solved this by importing the 2x48 Multiport Environment Layer you provided as well as increasing the available ports in the Preferences of VEPro.

  • After more testing, I see that while I can have 48 midi ports within Logic I max out of aux audio inputs at 24 - "Multi-Output (25xStereo)".

If VEPro was able to go up to 25xStereo Multi-outs in Logic, will future releases be able to further increase that number?

  • the limitaiton is imposed by LogicPro.
