    I'm assisting a composer who asked me to design him a super kick-ass PC slave for VSL. He wants to replace his three quad-core PC slave machines with a single PC slave, and he's willing to spend some dough.

    What is the core speed VS thread count performance trade-off for VSL PC slave machines like the one I'm building?

    For those who are curious, here is what the new build is currently looking like. (I've bolded the elements that I tried to max out that normally bottleneck system performance):

    Really nice explanation of the DAW performance subject, simple but without oversimplification. I'd sum up it like this: it's the same as with one's children. One has to invest time and sweat into their kids, no amount of "smart toys" can replace that. Hope you catch my drfit 😊

    Thanks for joining in the research. The unit I'm building won't really be a DAW, as it'll be the slave PC for a DAW, but the more you know the better! We've ordered our parts and are very excited to see what kind of performance we can get!
