Vienna Instruments Pro in Vienna Ensemble (Free Version)

Couldn't find an answer to this, but can "Vienna Instruments Pro" be used in the free version of "Vienna Ensemble"?

Or do you also need "Vienna Ensemble Pro" in order to manage multiple instances of "Vienna Instruments Pro"?

I know you can use standalone instances of "Instruments Pro", but I find it a lot easier to manage multiple instruments through "Ensemble", so I just wanted to check if that is possible!

Hi,

you can use Vienna Instruments Pro 2 with the free Vienna Ensemble.
The current version of Vienna Ensemble 6 (also Vienna Ensemble Pro 6) needs an update to work with the latest retina version of Vienna Instruments Pro 2, and we are currently working on it.

In the meantime feel free to use the previous version of Vienna Instruments Pro 2 until the update is ready.

I purchased the Vienna Instruments Pro 2, two days ago and cannot unfortunately load it into the Vienna Ensemble (free Version).
I hope the update will be available soon...

We are working on the update for VE and VE Pro 6.

Meanwhile, please roll back to the archive version of VI Pro.

Hallo Paul and thanks for the link! I rolled back to the Version 2.4.16399, but now I cannot load matrices, I created with Vienna Instruments (free). A pop up window informs me, that I "cannot load a matrix saved by a newer version of VIPro, although it was saved with the VI free (Version 6.0.18443). Is there a workaround for this issue before I start creating my matrices from scratch again? By the way, I could load these matrices with the newest Version of VIPro Standalone (from which I rolled back to the Version 2.4.16399) Thanks again for your help and kind support!

Looks like you saved those presets with the newer version of VI Pro, can that be the case?

Does that happen with all your presets or just specific ones?

No, I created them with the VI free version, last year (now VI Version 6.0.18443).

When installing the newest VI PRO-2 I just loaded  2 (out of 9)  particular-self made- presets and did not save them again.

 Version 2.4.16399 does not load any of them.

Can it happen, that the VI free: 6.0.18443 is recognized as a newer version than the  VIPro 2.4.16399?

Please send those presets to support@vsl.co.at, I will take a look. If you have not saved any of those files, the logic that would produce the error is not obvious for me.
