eLicenser server not available?

Hello, I just purchased Appasionata Strings a couple of hours ago and as I try to activate the license to my eLicenser it fails. It says that I can be due to maintenance work but I can't find any info about it if that's the case; "A connection to the license server could not be established, becuse the license server is currently not available (e.g. due to maintenance work). Please try again later, or contact your software vendor's support department in case the problem persists." There is no reason that I should not reach the license server if it were available, no proxies, no firewall issues etc. Anyway, just to let everyone know.
EDIT Just tried to update without any eLicenser key inserted; on three different computers, two different Internet connections and it still says the same. So I am guessing that this is a real issue. Strange that they do not have redundancy enabled when maintaining...

The eLicenser Server seems to be down indeed, and my colleagues at eLicenser/Steinberg are working to get it back online again. We all hope that this will be the case in the next hours.

i have the same problem with cubase 6ai ive been working for 2 years..now i got that license problem..so i uninstalled it and installed again..when i come to register it it gives me the same message you got...ive been like this for 5 days...please tell me what did you do ?? i have a recording studio,with a shut down DAW :/ i REALLY REALLY appreciate your help

actually its cubase license itself...i know its a vsl forum...but im despereta my studio is shutdown because of that and im not getting any help from steinberg

As Steinberg owns both Cubase and eLicenser, there is nothing that anyone else can do to help.

Hi,

Februar 12: impossible to connect to the eLicenser to activate a WaveLab license. Answer from Steinberg o, March 3rd by sending another activation code: 17 days with 10 requests without answer.

Today: try to activate Solo Strings; same issue !!!  >1month with issue on the server !!!   (server not available).

It's not acceptable. Please VSL: find another system to authorize  (like Spectrasonics, Arturia, Izotope...). The Steinberg's product and systeme is out and non professional. A shame.

we are very sorry to hear about your troubles connecting to the license server.
as far as we can see you succeeded finally downloading your Solo Strings license to an eLicenser 2020-03-21 19:12:39 - however such connection problems shouldn't occur too often.
