  • violin glissando between two specific notes

    Hi,

Is it possible to make a glissando using solo violin patches between two notes, specifically E3 and C#4?  I've tried various approaches including portamento (doesn't seem to work on two notes that far apart) and glissando.  I can get a nice glissando using octave-gliss, starting on E3, but of course, it doesn't stop at C#4 -- keeps going up.  Is there any way to do this?  Thanks.

  • Hi Zaffer,

That should work just fine with the performance glissandos you find in your Solo Strings FULL Library.

    Best,
    Paul

  • Thanks Paul,

I tried various things with various glissandi articulations and in the end I found what worked best for me was simply to put in the notes between E3 and C#4 in tiny increments -- about 1/3 of the length of a 128th note each.
