  • Leverage sound with other instruments

    Hello,

First I hope that everyone is fine in these troubled times.

I'm looking to extend my VSL collection to leverage some of my brass and strings instruments.

I'm using VSL to compose and arrange orchestral music and/or choir, most of the time adding it to a rock band: so, not completely "classical", but a little bit more like movie scores (but not epic trailers :)).

I "just" would like my mock-ups strings and brass sound better: final music tends to be played by real people most of the time.

I'm composing using Sibelius Ultimate along with VEPro 7, MirX bundle and Vienna Suite Pro.

Here are the instruments I own: Cube, Chamber Strings II, Standard Editions Volumes 1 to 6 (VI and Synchron), Synchronized Woodwinds, Synchronized Chamber Strings and Voices Complete.

I was thinking of adding VI Appassionata Strings, VI Dimension Brass I and perhaps VI Dimension Strings I.

Please take care of all of you and thanks for your great advices!

    Best regards,

    Gil.

Do you want advice on which one of these libraries you should buy or which one you should use on a score you're working on?

  • Hello,

I just realized that my post is not in the right forum, it should be in "Vienna Instruments Libraries" (https://www.vsl.co.at/community/topics/18-Vienna-Instruments-Libraries): is there a way for a moderator to move it please?

Jasen, thanks for your answer and sorry for not being accurate enough: so the question here is :"According to VSL instruments and tools I own, what VI promotional instruments can I add to have a better sound (I heard Dimensions series and Appassionnata can be a great help)?".

    Thanks!
