  • Demo question: why won't my

I'm using FL Studio, basically everything works perfectly, I have multiple instances connecting, ports/midi channels all are good, I can render with no issues etc etc

The only issue I have, and I"m not sure this is a demo issue - when I reload my FL project, I have to reconnect my instances manually.  I mean, the nice thing is, it shows the serve instances perfectly so it's not difficult, just... weird.  The other frustrating thing is there's no error message on the instance, I think this would be super helpful - like did it even try to connect to the VEP host? Is it somehow blocked?

I currently have both pc's (windows 10, pretty good machines) LAN cabled to my cable modem/switch, they locally are set to manual IP's, dhcp disabled etc  Do I need to go the extra mile and connect them outside of the switch with a direct ethernet connection to help with this issue?

    Cheers,

    Dana

  • Hi DFO,

That's correct, the demo license doesn't save any data, it's only about functionality.

    Maybe I wasn't clear enough:
I have let's say X Y and Z instances on the demo server up with PLAY plugins. In my FL studio project, I connect to each instances, it's all great etc.  So now I turn off FL Studio, then the next day I turn it back on.  The demo server has not been turned off X Y and Z still persist, BUT FL Studio, upon reloading its project, will not automatically reconnect to X Y and Z instances.

  • Hi DFO,

Yes, that's how it is with the demo license that does not need a license saved on the key.

No information is saved. If you wish to have a fully functional demo license, please contact us via support@vsl.co.at!

    Best,
