Are there any noises hiding in the BBO series? I need the sound of an orchetra stamping its feet - in sections and all together and havn't seen it elsewhere in VSL libraries.

    Barton.

  • Hi Barton,

No such noises in the BBO series so far, but a good idea!

  • Hello, yes this is a good one. A few months ago I thought about rhythmic hand claps of a group @ SynchronStage ... So, I add this here.

  • ... and Finger-Snaps :)

  • Soundiron have create a library of orchestral noises like tuning, warm-ups etc:

With all the spot-mics of Synchron stage I guess VSL can do more than a copy.

  •

Ups ... now I understand the request better.

But I still think that rhythmic Foot Stomps, handclaps, snaps, hits on the thighs (new) could be a good idea too.

Theoretically this could be the first Library by the VSL employees only :)

There was a release of a handclap-library which came out last year from a firm called robotic bean. But I agree with you that the Viennese could catch the sound more than other firms with alle their possibilities.

  • There could even be different kinds of stomps:

    A) musicians sitting (for orchestral situations)

    • single stomp, one and two feet
    • consecutive stomps (measured and unmeasured)
    • stomp "roll"

    B) crowd (for crazy sound design)

same as above plus (single stomp with two feet = jump)

    • walking on the spot (measured and unmeasured)
    • walking from left to right and vice versa (looped)
    • walking from back to front
