  • How to insert MIR Pro in VEPro 7?

    Hi

I have a setup with woodwind synchronized librarie, that are running in an instance. Now I try to incorporate some VI - alto flute - in this instance and I have inserted Mir Pro in the send slot.
Midi is reaching the channel and it plays fine if Mir Pro is BYPASSED, but if I want to hear Mir Pro, nothing is playing.

The "VU meter" in the top of the VI is indicating sound, but somehow it stops by Mir Pro.
I also had several crashes, both from the DAW (Cubase/Logic) and VEPro, running on a Mac Pro slave.

    What did I forget here?

  • Hi

Click on the "auto add MIR Pro" icon. Then, create a new instance of Vienna Instruments (Pro) with the Alto Flute. It should work properly. Hope it helps.

    Best,

    David

  • Well that's what I have been doing always, but suddenly there was no sound.

A reboot and chek again the lecenses made it work!

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Also make sure a room is loaded in MIR.

    Best, Ben

  • Please use always the Stereo to Stereo variant instead of Mono to Stereo when inserting MIR! You can simply click on the MIR label without opening it and will automatically use the stereo variant.

Regarding your issue: Please attach the VEP project here packed as zip, or send it to support@vsl.co.at and I will take a look at it. I can't reproduce this issue on my system.

  • Thanks for the file. I could reproduce your issue with it and will report it to our development.
Here is a workaround to get MIR working again: Switch to a different main microphone configuration for the room. After that you can switch it back.

Was this template created with an older VEP version, or did you use any import feature / any special actions? Would be helpful to know how this misconfiguration happens, so we can fix this.

    Best, Ben
