In the latest version of the Synchron player manual it says on p. 31 "For technical reason, time stretching currently applicable to legato articulation (in a musically correct way)."

This sentence has no verb, I have no idea what it means.

The main reason I bought the synchronized solo strings is to control vibrato in a flexible way, as you mention on the page describing this product. How does it work?

Thank you,

Alan Belkin

Hi Alan,

Thanks for the report. I remember this mistake in the manual because I fixed it in the online version: https://www.vsl.info/manuals/synchron-player/edit-tab#stretch-limitations

Meaning: Currently the stretch algorithm works great in many cases. But performance transitions like legato and portamento can sound incorrect. We hope to look into this in future, but for now if you need it in these articulations you have to try it out.
Regarding Solo Strings: You can control the vibrato via time-stretching, except performance transitions it should work great. For the transitions you have to listen closely if it sounds right.

Best, Ben
