  • More than one instance on the same MIR Pro 24 stage

    Dear ladies and gentlemen!

Working in Cubase 10.5 and Viennna Ensemble Pro Server 7.0 and MIR PRO 24 5.4 I want to use just one instrument track for each instrument. Different articulations are provided by expression maps.
This demands to have one instance per instrument

Using MIR PRO it is possible to position several instruments on the (same) stage (as shown in the video called „Vienna MIR PRO Instrument Section“) if they are in the same instance.

Is it also possible to position intruments of different instances on one stage in MIR pro?
What i would like to achieve is to see all instances in my Vienna Ensemble Pro project on one MIR pro 24 stage.

Thank you in advance for any hints or clarifications!
    Martin

  • Hi Martin,

I'm not sure that I really understand the question. I assume that you use several instances of VE Pro, each with its own MIR Pro - is that right?

To keep all MIR Icons in one single MIR Pro Venue it is necessary to switch to the plug-in version of MIR Pro, not the one that comes "built-in" with VE Pro. (There's a Preference for that.)

One thing to keep in mind, though: This will only work as long all VE Pro instances are on the same machine.

Alternatively you quit using multiple instances of VE Pro, if your workflow allows for it.

... please feel free to ask any further questions, especially if got the initial one wrong. 8-)

    Kind regards,
