  • Vienna Instrument Pro blacklisted by Cubase 10 under macOS

    Hi,

As I have VI Pro I considered VI was unuseful, so I stupidly de-installed it.

But now, Vienna Instrument Pro is blacklisted! Before de-installing the basic version of VI, it was on the white list.

A couple of months before, Steinberg Team told suggested Mac users installing High Sierra to avoid blacklisting of plugins, then they said 'install Mojave to use Cubase 10.5 ' ... result: errors, slowdowns display errors, etc...

Please, tell me what I can do to have VI Pro back in the white list, and by the way, why Vienna Instrument Pro is not VST3?

    Thanks for your help!
    Edmond

  • What I read on Steinberg Forum:

Why are some of my plug-ins now on the blacklist that haven’t been backlisted before?

  • Hm, I have no problems with Cubase 10.5 and VI pro on Mac. Have you tried to reactivate in Cubase?

  • As I said, I had no problems too with macOS High Sierra. The issue appeared with Mojave.

Seeing your signature, I assume you are under Sierra, right?

You can run v10.5 under Sierra? Please, tell me it is possible!

p.s: sure I reactivated it but it's risky.
