  • [SOLVED] FX plugins on VEP servers cannot re-open GUI properly

    Hi,

As shown in subject, there's a problem on VEP 7.0.1056 servers (Win).

All FX plugins cannot re-open their own GUI properly once those GUIs are closed. It only happens on re-opening and there's no problem when I insert FX plugins first time. After "Disabling and Enabling" the channel, those GUIs can be opened like first time the plugins inserted. It can happen to both of my PCs (Win10pro 64bit).

Now reverted to VEP 7.0.973 and there's no problem.

Is there anyone has same problem?

    Thanks,

  • Hi,

Thanks for your report. Could you please add the exact Windows version number you are using? Also information about the used graphics card and graphics card driver version number would be helpful.

    Best, Ben

  • Hello Ben,

    Thank you for the response.

    Here's the information,
    --
PC1: (DAW host and VEP server)
OS: Win10 pro 64bit (version 1909, OS build number 18363.836)
Graphics card: intel HD Graphics 630 (onboard) (driver version 27.20.100.8280)
    DAW: Digital Performer 9.5

    PC2: (VEP server)
OS: (exactly same version to PC1)
Graphics card: nVidia GTX1060 (driver version 446.14)

On server PC, some graphics on Windows OS (e.g. right-click menu) is flickering during the DAW is running.
Also some plugins slow the graphics of VEP down.

Could you tell me a way to fix?

    Thanks,

  • You have the same blank FX issue on both systems?

    Ben@VSL | IT & Product Specialist
  • Yes, both have same issue.

  • It might be a Windows 1909 and older problem then. We could not reproduce this issue with newer Windows versions.

    Ben@VSL | IT & Product Specialist
  • I see. It can be so.

Unfortunately, Win10 v2004 update seemed not available yet for those two PCs running VEP.
    I keep using v7.0.973 for a while.

Thank you for your quick support!

    Sincerly,

  • Finally, my PCs got latest version of Win10 today and VEP v7.0.1056 is running without problem.

    Thanks!
