  • New to VSL- need help

    Hello,

I am new to VSL. I purchased VSL Smart Orchestra Library, got the USB, and everything is installed. I am trying to use this with Logic Pro, and can't find anywhere in any manual to help me out. Could someone point me in the right direction in the manual where it shows how to do this? Thanks.

Edit: I have the Synchron player open, and now I see this isn't what I thought I purchased. I see only like 5 solo instruments, everything is clumped together in sections- so only brass, only woodwinds, etc. I am terribly afraid this is not what I was looking for. Is there not a way to select individual instruments?

  • The Smart Orchestra is an ensemble library. There are also some solo instruments, and others can be purchased as an extension pack.

However, if you plan to work with solo instruments, and want an entry-level library, I would suggest you the Synchronized Special Edition Vol.1 (better with the addition of Vol.1 Plus, but you can eventually get it later).

If I’m not wrong, you can ask a refund for your purchase. But before the deadline, you can play a bit more with it to see if it can be of use.

  • Thank you for the clarification! So I am looking at the different volumes of "synchronized." I see there is 7- each higher volume does not mean higher in price correct? For instance I see Volume 4 is cheaper than Volume 1. In the instrument list, where it compares the different instruments for each volume, I see Volume 7 has very little checks on any instruments- what does that mean? Thanks for the help.

  • Each volume includes a different set of instruments. Vol. 1 is the most basic, and the others add instruments.
