Hi,
I understand that VEPRO automatically compensates the delays of each instruments, to make all audio aligned in the project.
However, I can't understand if audio stays aligned if the same VEPRO server project is used to host instruments AND effects.
As an example, I would like to put all the instruments from a host program (a DAW or a notation program) in VEPRO. The audio from the instruments is mixed in VEPRO's master output, and sent back to the host program.
I then want to insert the final mix effects in a separate instance of VEPRO, to use things like MIRacle, and the internal suite of compressor, limiter, EQ, exciter, analyzer. This instance would be linked to the host program via the Vienna Ensemble Audio Input plugin.
Would this work?

Hey, it was Thursday!
A simple routing example would be of great help. I've not been helped by the fact that the host program I tried to use with it crashed when trying it, together with VEPRO.
My main doubt: will there be an audio loop, between the audio being sent to VEPRO and the one returning to the host? Will there be nearly imperceivable delay, tha will cause some sort of subtle phasing?

To the first question, no.
Per the second question, should be no but we don't know what host you're using. Cubase/Nuendo compensates sufficiently, if you checked ASIO Latency Compensation on by Default in Preferences/Record/MIDI.

If you are already going to mix everything down to a single stereo return out of VEP for the instruments in the first place, then why not rip that to an Audio Track and then blend it in with your other tracks and final effects...through VEP, or locally in your DAW?

Thank you everybody for the hints! Yes, in the end I will probably do this way. I will bounce a stereo track with no finalizing effects, and then do the mastering on the bounced track. Two separate tasks anyway.
