  • What for the next libraries?

    Hi,

What do you expect for the next BBO libraries, now that most of the sound families have been covered?

As for me, I would love there were still some extended techniques, like in Black Eye and Fornax, exploiting the special acoustic of the Synchron Stage. Extremely soft sounds reverberated by the hall; sound bursts resounding; sul tasto, sul ponticello and harmonic sounds made rich and fat by the surround take.

And then scraped percussions or strings, ricochets, fast arpeggios, multiphonics, breath through brass. And chamber strings ensembles, with a delicate, yet "big, long resounding" sound.

Innovative sounds taking advantage of the unique ambience, not so commonly used in classical literature, but useful for more contemporary styles.

  • Hi

I would love solo strings with cantabile legato. And a choir with syllables. And also a children choir. I also like all your suggestions. Oh, and also a new Brass Pack with muted articulations. The BBO series is so great!

    Best, David

  • David, nice ideas! A "Cantabile Light" patch wouldn't contradict the "Synchron Percussion Light" that are P & Q. Maybe it could be part of a super-espressivo library, just like they did with Appassionata to add expressive strings to they 'colder' orchestral strings.

Syllables in a choir could be just sone basic ones to write some phrase gibberish. Hoping they can choose more meaningful ones than in the main Voices collection.
