  • Vienna Synchron Popping and Cutting Out or Not Playing

I want to buy this product but this problem has made me need to consider if I want to... hoping I can solve it?

When I put a single instance of Vienna Synchron Player in my DAW (either Ableton or Cubase Pro) I can hear the notes playing, but I hear popping in and out, even just one single instrument.

To be honest I just noticed the popping with "one instance" was possibly coming from another plugin on the limiter bus. STILL! I noticed this problem was happening where instruments just wouldn't play, with say 7 instance or so running, they randomly wouldn't play and I had a lot of cutting in and out, and articulation changes would seem to not trigger every time for some reason... most of the time they do but for some reason sometimes they do not. These problems together have me concerned. I'm interested in figuring out of this can be solved without needing to buy a slave machine. Is VSL really so RAM intensive that I should expect these problems in small projects?

    Here are my specs:

    i7 9700k

1TB SSD (the small fast kind)

    16GB RAM

I have noticed if I export, these problems are not heard on the exported file, which sounds fine. (other than untriggered articulation change in one instance, which I am virtually certain was not user error)

I'm hoping someone can help me with this. It was working quite well on a few occasions. I want to make it work.

  • Hi,

Please install the latest update of the Synchron Player. This should solve this issue.

    Best, Ben

  • Thank you. I think I need to upgrade my RAM either way. I suspect that might solve these problems.
