Hi,
If I want to perform with solo string I a fast repetition, detache, is it OK to use leg fast repetition? Is leg fastvrepetion intended as detache?

Hi Christian,

I'd rather use portato reps, but you can use whatever sounds good to you (and fits the speed).

I think portato was intended for repered note under a one bow direction... While legato rep was a detache repetition.. I am a little bit confused with the name you gave to articulation....

Hi Christian,

Staccato repetitions were the fastest recorded repetitions (9 repeated notes).
Portato repetitions were in a medium tempo (9 repeated notes).
Legato repetitions were the slowest repetitions (5 repeated notes).

You can of course pick the articulation you like, the idea is to capture different transition sounds between repeated notes, which result from different playing speeds.

Best,
Paul
