  • Should I buy Synchron Strings I (Strings pro Owner)

    Hello,

I'm a very happy user of Strings Pro, and I would like to know what do think about buying at a great price the Synchron strings I ?

I know there is no portamento, but a lot of velocity layers...

About the tone, do they have the same tone?

    Thanks

Nobody has replied, and I only have the Pro also. It seems that many users consider Pro what they hoped the Synchron Strings I would be. The only part I can form an opinion is that upgrading to Vienna Ensemble 7 with the added Epic Orchestra contained 3 reduced patches from the library. The amazing flautando was carried over, but I would imagine I would use the other library for short notes to create dramatic dynamic parts, which I am judging only by a limited patch but it is very responsive. I hope someone can give you a better answer! I love the ability to use the synchron player for dynamic sample stretching which essentially makes many useful variations of the detache (and the portamento, what a dream to have this at tempo). Best wishes!

SSI is one of the best string libraries available. I personally greatly prefer it to SSPro, not only for the much increased dynamics, but yes, also the tone and the greater legato and vibrato options.

Well you’re right, I’ve just make some adjustement with the presets and the sound is really really great ! I’ve also used Mir with the close mic and it sounds even more awesome. In this Kind of setup I found it better than strings Pro and not So far from dimensions strings I.

I will post some demos soon.
