  • BBO Does it mix well with Synchron-ized special edition?

Hi everyone, I'm making a Christmas theme with synchron-ized special edtion, (Only Strings)

The point is that I lack vibrato on the 1st violins and I would like to know if the 1st violns of the Big Band Orchestra (Tana) Mix well with the rest of the Synchron-ized Special edition strings.

    Thanks.

  • Hello, FRG,

The SYNCHRON-ized Special Editions do come with the Synchron Stage sound signature, so yes - you can use them side by side. Since the Big Bang Orchestra instruments have been recording with a huge variety of different microphones, I would start by loading the SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition instruments with the "Distant" MIXERPRESET" disable the "Reverb" Channel and compare that sound to the BBO "Classic Room-Mix". From there, you should have a good base to start getting the balance your want. Since you can get all kinds of different sounds for both libraries, experimenting is the best way to achieve the sound you want for your project.

    Best regards,
    Andreas

  • For what it's worth: I created all SYNCHRON-ized settings (as well as the MIRx settings for Synchron Stage "Wide") while comparing them with the Synchron Instruments' mixer setting called "02 - Surround to Stereo Downmix Presets / 03 - Wide Sur to Stereo".
