  • So I can't play new purchases until the USB key shows up?

I just ordered two VSL instruments and tried to activate them via the Steinberg eLicenser, but it won't let me do it without the USB key.  It will take probably the better part of a week to get the USB key delivered to me.

In the meantime, is there a way to activate these so I can play them now?

    Thanks

    Hi

If you don't have any other Vienna Key or eLicenser dongle, I don't think so.

    Best, David

  • Hi,

That's correct, you will need a physical ViennaKey to store your licenses on:

    http://www.vsl.co.at/en/Instruments/ViennaKey

Alternatively, you can also use a Steinberg or Arturia Key, if you have one or can get one faster (they are usually available in music stores, and it´s the same copy protection system, "eLicenser").

  • Ok, I have the Dongle and got everything installed (at least., I think so...Your install process has to be one of the most confusing things I've ever done in over 25 years of working with PCs, gaming, and recording software) but there appear to be no VSTs installed anywhere.

How do I get those VSTs installed so I can use them with the software?  Thanks.

    Hi,

All the software for your registered products is available in MyVSL.

Installation should be a 3-step process:

    1) Install the Vienna Download Manager

    2) Click the Activation Code in your Confirmation Mail and follow instructions (all missing elements will be added in the process)

    3) Download and install your software (a corresponding message is displayed after successful installation).

    Which step didn't work?

    Best,
    Paul
